This web page provides an index to the Treasurer's Documents that have been scanned
at the Hendricks County Government center.

In 1840 the State of Indiana passed a law requiring county auditors and treasurers to compare tax records. The reports that compared the two records were called the Tax Duplicates. 1841 was the first year that the Duplicates were required.
At this point the 1842 book has not been located. The documents that we have scanned so far are shown below.

The pdf files can be downloaded to your own computer if you desire, but be warned that some pdfs are very large.
