page version = 3.0.02 , 10/03/2018 02:40:32 PM

These books are called the Old Cornerstone Brown Books by Stan Shartle.

The Surveyor's Cornerstone Books show the location of section markers for Hendricks County. The books were organized as Township/Range rather than by date as the Assessor books are. The dates that are recorded in these books are associated with updates and range from 1819 through 1931. The Computer Center has scanned these books and made the images available on this internet site.

The first group of links here will open a viewer to allow you to go page by page through the book. The second group of links point to PDF files containing scans of the books.
The pdf files can be downloaded to your own computer if you desire, but be warned that some pdfs are very large.
